The Way of Kings
Brandon Sanderson (if you've been living under a bush, he's the author finishing the Wheel of Time) has released the first book of his planned epic fantasy series. The Way of Kings is book 1 of the Stormlight Archive. As of this post I'm around 180 pages into the book and so far am hating the fact I had to put it down to go to work. Evil, evil work.

So far I'm having a great time reading this book and wish my work day would go faster so I could continue.

Towers of Midnight release date pushed back
Dragonmount is reporting that Tor has announced the next Wheel of Time book,
Towers of Midnight, has had its release date pushed back to November 2nd in order to give Sanderson a little more time to wrap things up on the book.
I'm saddened I won't have it by October 26th, but still excited for November 2nd. It looks as though Tor plans to push the book rapidly through the publication process, a process that usually takes months, to get the book to the fans as quickly as possible.
